[Young and Aged Puerh Tea]

As Puerh tea can be c***tantly fermented, the more aged, the more fragrant and the more expensive. Young Puerh tea refers to the newly made Puerh tea, with green color, white tips and strong taste. Aged Puerh tea is the Puerh tea that has been aged, with red color and tawny tips due to post-oxidation over a long period of time.

[Fragrance of Tea Le***es]

The improperly kept Puerh tea will h***e moldy fragrance. Chemical essences may be added to cover it. Hence, Puerh tea with pungent ***ell is not pure, and fine Puerh Tea will h***e natural, light and pleasant sweetness.

[Tea Color]

Ask the sale***en or shopkeeper to brew a cup of tea and then check out the tea color. The aged Puerh tea often has a dark color but not black due to years’ c***tant fermentation. Generally speaking, the young Puerh tea has a light color. But some young Puerh tea also has a dark color. Hence, the best way to differentiate young Puerh tea from aged Puerh tea is to h***e a sip.

Trying the tea is the most important step in tea purchase. With one single sip, you can tell whether it is fine or suits your taste. Fine tea will not h***e musty or bitter taste. With white tips, the young Puerh tea without aging will taste bitterly. The bitterness of fine tea will quickly melt away, and the tea turn will sweet. With the white tips turning golden, the aged Puerh tea will h***e gentle and mellow taste.

[Will Puerh Tea Go Bad?]

The more aged of properly kept Puerh tea, the more fragrant of the tea. The storage life marked on the outer packing of Puerh tea is mandatory by food regulati***, to which c***umers can pay no attention. However, mouldy tea le***es usually caused by improper storage are not recommended to buy.

With strong taste and pungency, young Puerh tea may not be the cup of tea for those used to drinking high mountain tea and regular Puerh tea. Through post-oxidation over a long period of time, the aged Puerh tea will develop gentle and mild taste, able to promote blood metaboli*** and good for the stomach. It is also believed that Puerh tea can preserve health, promote and invigorate vitality in the body. The longer it is stored, the more it is oxidized, and the more mellow of the tea.

1.[Cancer Prevention]

It has been proved that tea polyphenol can prevent the formation of cancerigenic nitroso compounds in the body. Preventing the formation of over 90% cancerigenic nitroso compounds, Puerh tea is found most effective in cancer prevention, followed by flowering tea, oolong tea and black tea.
